The “footprints” sample app only allows for 12 digit facebook IDs.

I used this app as a foundation for my app, however about 10% of my users have a 16 digit ID. Casting to int and float in PHP destroys these numbers so I have to keep them as strings.

Facebook IDs are too long for PHP to treat them as integers and have to be strings.

and then I realized this is what the facebook smiley app does… i didn't do that though cause thought it was unnecessary. but now i know what it's for.

here's the code from the smiley app:

So, after making changes to it, I did Ctrl + Shift + R on Firefox to refresh. I even went to Tools -> Clear Private Data and cleared my browser cache, cookies, authenticated sessions, and offline website data. that still didn't work.

then, i duplicated the css file and changed the name. then changed the name in the link to the css file to match the duplicate file.

that worked.

then, when i changed it back again… it was the old version, despite the fact that the one on my server was the new version.

so yeah, it seems like they cached my css file on their server. weird…

I get “error” when it is a new application
Monthly Active Users = 0
About Page Fans = 0
Total Users = 0
Please help me to fix this error.
Are there any other ways to recevie the application id?

1) The images on my app don´t look good. This is ture of both the images taken from my site as well as those taken from facebook (e.g., profile picture of users). Has any of you stumble upon that issue? if so, any ideas on how to solve it? I am sure this is the kind of things that are dead simple to solve but I just can´t find the solution..

2) i need use js in my app, i need the onclick event. for example.

Oh, no, no hard feelings at all. The messup was 100% mine. Even after the retraction I felt like your critique just made the whole article basically worthless. It was a good lesson in the important of research.

I wasn’t trying to cover up my idiocy or anything (as you can see it’s not really hard to get me to admit it), but I just thought the article no longer served any purpose.
